Toronto Colocation Site Increases Cooling Infrastructure

Vaughan, Ontario Canada – June 1, 2010 – Data Centers Canada a data center provider which operates, develops and manages Canadian real estate for the purpose of providing turn-key data center solutions including colocation and disaster recovery solutions for enterprises, today announced it is increasing its cooling infrastructure capacity at its Toronto North data center facility.

Data Centers Canada Toronto North data center facility has been undergoing major expansion since 2009. Just recently the facility has added additional cooling to its POD 1 and 2 colocation areas. The additional cooling infrastructure increases pump redundancies on the glycol / chilled water loop allowing for an additional level of redundancy increasing PUMP Capacity to N+2.

The chiller infrastructure will be increased by the addition of multiple 1,000,000 BTU/hr REF-Plus DryCooler’s. The additional units add multiple levels of redundancy independent of one another. The units are designed to work in conjunction with the proprietary free cooling system that is utilized throughout the facility.

The additional CRAC units that will be deployed will increase CRAC Redundancy Levels to 2N in all areas and take full advantage of the free cooling technologies allowing the data center’s PUE to be substantially reduced.

DCC Commences Phase 3 Expansion of Toronto North Data Center
